Weekly Pattern Roundup for the Fiber Arts 1

Over on my Facebook page, I started sharing with you all a Pattern of the Day. Every day I’ll share a crochet, knit or sewing pattern that is simply fabulous. We do have some sewers here, right? I hope so! Basically anything fiber arts related. I’d love to expand into other fiber arts beyond knitting and crochet, so if you have a vote for a type of pattern you’d like to see, please leave me a comment. Lots will be free patterns, but many will be paid patterns too. It’s whatever I think you will love.

Crochet Patterns

Solas Caomh crochet cabled baby blanket pattern featured on Weekly Pattern Roundup for the Fiber Arts 1 on Sakeenah.com

I am seriously in love with the Solas Caomh crochet cabled baby blanket pattern. The cables look so sweet for this baby blanket with a tradition Irish crochet look. Irish for “tender comfort,” Sólás Caomh was shaped by Jodi Euchner for a beloved baby. The engaging cable pattern provides its own tender comfort to crocheters as they shape the soft cotton-wool blanket into an heirloom. Available as a paid pattern instant download, or you can download the full issue of Intereweave Crochet, Spring 2009: Digital Edition it first appeared in. I went for the full magazine since it was on sale and a good deal.

  1. You are really tempting me to pick up my crochet hook and whip something up! I love to crochet and sew but it’s been a long time. I’m especially tempted by that green baby blanket. They are all really nice patterns. Thanks for sharing!

You’re welcome. I still need to make one! I keep meaning to ask you if you use their dusters too. I am getting tired of buying them and would love to come up with a reusable alternative. Maybe make yarn out of microfiber?
